This new Sake bar is revolutionising the sake experience in Delhi. Situated in the popular food location of Delhi, Epicuria, Yuzu Kitchen and Bar is a must visit for those who have a penchant for an immersive Japanese culinary experience. The place boasts of a well curated sake and food menu, along with astounding ambience, especially the glowing message board that says, “Drink Sake, Stay Soba”.
From the food menu we ordered the Chef recommended Soba noodles. These noodles are very indigenous to Japanese cuisine and flavour palate and Yuzu’s version of them was a lip-smacking delight. The quantity was enough for two to share and was very well presented as Yuzu’s cutlery and accessories are seeped in a neutral ceramic aesthetic that makes the culinary experience seem even more authentic in its Japanese intention.
Soba noodles with Sake
From the Sake menu, which is again vivid and very well detailed in its description of the sakes, we ordered a 30ml glass of two different sakes, the Hakushika Daiginjo Sake and Suehiro Honjozo Sake. While the Hakushika Daiginjo is meant to cater to sweeter tastebuds because of its sweet honeydew melon flavour, the Suehiro Honjozo is powerful as it is dry, bracing and sharp. The waiters even lend their expertise on what sake should be paired with what dish, if asked. The overall experience is certainly the kind which you will want to keep coming back for.
