The UmbrellArt Project

The UmbrellArt Project is a public arts initiative by Method to add a little colour to the streets of Mumbai, while keeping functional utility in mind. 5 artists have contributed original designs for consumer umbrellas. For each umbrella purchased, one large garden sized umbrella is donated to an outdoor street vendor to shelter them from the sun and rains.

Each umbrella features a unique digital print on a pongee canopy, meticulously stitched onto a fiber frame. The handles are coated with rubber, providing a sturdy and ergonomic grip. There are two types of umbrellas available in limited stock. The Consumer Umbrella measures 27 inches. If pre-booked, it is priced at INR 4000, while the catalogue price is INR 4750. The Garden Umbrella measures 48 inches, with a pre-booking price of INR 6000 and a catalogue price of INR 7000. The pre-booking price offer will end on 12th June 2024.
