Apollo Anyasa

India’s Anjunadeep star, Anyasa has announced a new four-track EP and debut North America tour, including a NYC date at the iconic Brooklyn Mirage. Anyasa is poised to take the next step in his journey with the release of his third EP, Apollo, set to hit the stores next week. For the unknown, Anyasa, aka Anish Sood, has an India-inspired sound with a modern electronic music production. Throughout his career, Anish has had a very strong western identity in his music. However, when the pandemic coloured his inspirations and aspirations, Anyasa was born. He became the first Indian artist to release on Anjunadeep, a label that is undoubtedly one of the most well-known modern, deep house labels. More about his journey and tour below. 

A New Beginning
It is challenging, and that’s the risk of a gamble like this. If it pays off and the music is strong enough, it can really propel you to a higher level. I really felt safe doing this with the backing of a record label like Anjunadeep. The people there have also been really invested in this project from day one because now that it is a rebrand, technically this project is signed first with them, so they have sort of broken it through.

Apollo
Named after the Greek god of art, music and poetry, the four-track package is the perfect reflection of his highly recognisable sound. Each track has a unique story tied to an iconic neighbourhood and draws inspiration from its history. Colaba and Shiva Valley are both uptempo singles and already wildly popular with fans who have experienced the tracks in his live sets, Khimsar and Shibuya explore the deeper side of the EP.

The Tour
Anyasa is now set to expand his global reach with his first headline North America tour across the US and Canada in Chicago, Toronto, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver. With his upcoming tour, Anyasa aims to introduce American audiences to the rich cultural tapestry of India. He brings a fresh and innovative approach to his performances, incorporating elements of traditional Indian music with a contemporary twist, thereby creating a truly unforgettable and immersive experience for his listeners.
