Sid M is the solo artist project of Mumbai based multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Siddhant Mishra. Siddhant is also known for his role as a producer in pop-duo Cryosis. Cryosis’ singles have amassed over one million streams and four Top 10 Music Videos on Vh1 India. Siddhant is currently producing for LA-based singers and songwriters. As a producer, Siddhant has worked with the likes of Shaan, Abhijeet Sawant, Yaser Desai, Akanksha Bhandari, Zubin Nautiyal, Sam Chandel and has written music for brands like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Reliance, LG, Samsung, Paytm, among many others. He is currently working on a Web3 project with Grammy-nominated producer, Sydney Swift. Sid M’s singles have been playlisted on Indie English, Emerging Artists, Dance Pop, Indian Rock, Fresh Finds, among other playlists on DSPs.
Reena Gilbert is a composer/singer/music producer and mix engineer from Mumbai. She hopes that more and more people can relate to the music she makes and she can probably touch a few hearts in the process. Her compositions include a lot of electronic pop, acoustic and experimentations with genres. Having released almost a dozen originals since the year 2020, Reena Gilbert has collaborated with many respected talents such as Sumedha Karmahe, Soham Naik, Kshitij Tarey, Aditi Singh Sharma, et cetera for her originals. Reena has over five million streams on platforms worldwide.
Recently, both the artists joined forces to give us a new track called What You’ve Done. Behind the inspiration of the song, Sid M shared, “When Reena and I decided to collaborate on a song, she came forward with a demo for What You’ve Done. The skeleton was already there and she had verses written down. I took cues from the loose storyline her verses already had going and built on it. This song is about once being in a toxic narcissistic relationship and calling them out for it. Consisting of electronic music such as heavy bass, synthesised sounds, and intricate beats, it is characterised by a moody/dreamy and atmospheric quality, with introspective lyrics exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery.”
