Yuhina X Space Hydra

Yuhina X Space Hydra

Yuhina and Space Hydra join forces for an exciting musical collaboration, kicking off with their single, Lego House (Redux). This track, the first in a series of three collaborations between the Bengaluru-based artists, is a reimagining of Yuhina's original Lego House. It emphasizes the themes of continual reinvention and renewal, inviting listeners to embrace the playful process of building and rebuilding.

The idea for this reworked version emerged during the preparation of a joint live set. While experimenting with new sounds, including tape noises and synthesizers, Yuhina and Space Hydra decided to contrast the original's ethereal tones with darker, more dissonant melodies and a driving beat. The result is a unique blend of the familiar uplifting lyrics with a fresh, intense soundscape.

The second single, Data Thief, set for release later this September, offers a grungy, hypnotic experience with a darker twist. Moving away from Yuhina's usual uplifting themes, this track explores themes of disconnection, borrowed identities, and loneliness through eerie synths and groovy basslines. A live-performance music video is also planned for this release, and the project will culminate in an EP featuring additional tracks and soundscapes.
